(3) RATES OF PAY.

All Officers on loan from Royal Navy will be paid the rates of pay and allowancas

as authorised in Naval Financial

Regulations for the Permanent Haval Forces 223 of the Royal Australian Navy.

The rates

as now laid down for the R.A.Ì, are regarded as subject to reduction in the event of reductions in R..rates being followed by similar reductions in the R.A.K.

I note Admiralty Servant Allowance and Admiralty Allowances are not payable in the R.A.N..

UNIFORM.

(6) TAXATION.

Officers' wives will not be given a free passage except those of officers engaging for three years and then only with the approval of the Commonwealth Naval Board.

No alteration of unifom required.

I understand that during my service in the Royal Australian Navy I shall be subject to State and Federal Income Tax as may be prescribed from time to time by the respective Governments.
